Ich weiß ja, Blogs sind so ganz fürchterlich aus der Mode, und wer liest heutzutage denn schon noch einen zusammenhängenden Satz, geschweige denn – ziemlich viele davon hintereinander. Instagram ist ja so viel besser, da muss man sich weniger konzentrieren und – „Likes“ von „Däumchen-hoch Apps“ sind ja eh toll.
I know, Blogs are just so out of fashion – no one today is willing to read a full sentence any more, let alone a lot of them, one after the other. Instagram is so much better, you can just post a picture and don’t need to focus on text – and well, „likes“ are great, even if they come from automated apps.
Oder nicht?

Zugegeben, ich habe hier auch lange nicht viel geschrieben und eher andere Medien genutzt, so ich denn die Zeit dazu fand, denn mitunter ist das Arbeitsaufkommen doch schon ordentlich, und so ein Tag hat auch für selbstständige Ein-Mann Armeen nur 24 Stunden.
Letztenendes aber haben die Schnelldurchlauf-Plattformen a la Instagram einen für mich großen Nachteil – der liegt eben genau darin daß kaum wer dort liest, und mir ist das eine Bildchen oft einfach zu wenig um den Inhalt den ich produzieren möchte – ja, eben anständig zu produzieren.
Ok, I didn’t write much here as well for a long time, instead I did use other media more intensively, if I had the time. My workload sometimes gets very high and the day only has 24 hours, especially for a „one man army“ business like mine.
The „fast forward“ platforms like Instagram have one disadvantage – and that’s exactly the point that hardly anyone reads texts there. Just posting a picture sometimes isn’t enough for what I have in mind.
Ich hoffe daß sich dennoch einige Leser hier (wieder) einfinden, und auch ab und zu einen Kommentar dalassen – was mir in Zukunft vorschwebt ist, daß ich hier meine „Making Ofs“ veröffentliche – das wird private Projekte wie ausgewählte, größere Auftragsarbeiten betreffen, auch über Conventions und Festivals möchte ich dann wieder mehr schreiben. Also – sobald da natürlich wieder was geht, versteht sich.
Even if it’s „out of fashion“, I do hope that this attracts some readers (again) and maybe they even leave a comment or two then 🙂
What I have in mind with this blog is – writing „Making Ofs“ – for both my private projects and as well some of the bigger commissions. But I also want to write about conventions and festivals a bit more – as soon as we are back to them – safely, of course.
Dazu sind auch Anleitungen geplant – für interessierte Selbermacher, und Tips und Tricks aus dem Stahl’schen Nähkästchen – alles in Allem also ein Mix aus privaten Plaudereien, Praktischem und – natürlich – auch Werbung in eigener Sache. Immerhin lebe ich davon ja 🙂
I also planned to write tutorials for those who craft and sew themselves, as well as a few tips and tricks from the Sewing Cases’s treasure of knowledge. So the following posts will be a mix of private stuff, practical instructions and – the inevitable maount of advertising my own products. After all, that’s what I make my living from.
Mit dem ersten „Making Of“ wird es demnächst wohl auch schon losgehen, denn, wie ich kürzlich erst auf meinem privaten Facebook-Profil angedeutet habe, werde ich mich in ein (privates) aufwendigeres Cosplay-Projekt stürzen, und die meisten meiner Freunde dort waren an der Dokumentation dessen (auch wenn ich noch im Unklaren gelassen hatte, was genau was werden wird 😉 ) doch schon interessiert – also bot sich die Blog-Reaktivierung alleine dafür schonmal an.
The first „Making Of“ will come soon, after I’ve already said on my private facebook profile, that I have a slightly more complex cosplay project in planning state at the moment, where most of my friends were very much interested in documenting the progress on that – although I haven’t said what exactly it is by now 😉
But this finaly made me reactivate my blod here.
Allzu viel möchte ich hier erstmal auch nicht schreiben – nur – in Zukunft wird der Blog zweisprachig laufen, so wie in diesem Artikel schon. Ich hoffe daß das nicht allzu schlecht zu lesen ist – ich bin natürlich für Anregungen und Meinungen offen, wenn ihr da Vorschläge habt – gerne natürlich auch was weitere Artikel und Themen angeht – also bitte keine Zurückhaltung, und her mit den Kommentaren 🙂
But I don’t want to write too much at this point now – just one thing – future posts will be biligual, like this one already is.
I hope that it is not too disctracting to read the way I did it here, but I am open for suggestions and opinions on that. If you have ideas for what topics would be interesting for you to read as well – please let me know, don’t hold yourself back and just leave me a comment 🙂
